It’s that time of year when our local farm Waltham Fields throws a big fundraising party complete with delicious food and silent auction to support their educational and community outreach programs. This year, the auction is all online, which means you don’t have to live locally to participate.
Up for auction are restaurant gift certificates to local hot spots Oleana, Harvest, and 80 Thoreau; Westport Rivers private wine-tasting and tour; Red Sox and theater tickets; hotel stays; a collection of craft beer; farm-themed paintings and photographs; and a book crate by an author you may have heard of. (Yes, I’ve just written the bare minimum number of books to merit a crate.)
Somebody’s going to win this theater-style popcorn popper. Will it be you? And let’s not forget this hot pink Kate Spade purse for the more stylish among you (read: not me).
The party itself is this Friday, April 8 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Charles River Museum of Industry in Waltham. Food promises to be delicious with catering by Season to Taste and an open bar. Tickets are $50 for members, $60 for nonmembers. For more information, click here. Hope to see you there!
I bought this book yesterday. It is pretty great although i only read several pages. Thank your post! Please share with me if you have article or new books.
