My BFF's son is in Iraq right now. As a matter of fact, he requested "MORE COOKIES PLEASE" just yesterday. So that's what she's doing today. I should bake up some for him as well. Great job Tammy.

Oh my God. I just had a childhood flashback.

Must.Make.Cookies.today.

What a sweet idea! (yes, pun intended). I make these all the time, but they never look this good. I'm sure they will be well appreciated.

Sunny12: I wonder if our soldiers' productivity will go down once we're through with them.

Sarah: Yes, they're so nostalgic. Husband had to step in and say, "Um, Tammy, why are you eating the cookies for the soldiers?"

Sally: I wonder what their rations are like? Anyway, happy baking!

And look at this great post from Calamity Shazaam in the Kitchen:

Hungry, Yet?

  • Never pass up the opportunity to make sour cherry preserves.

  • Huevos rancheros: my kind of breakfast (and lunch and dinner).

  • Lemony asparagus hummus: better than it sounds!

  • Rhubarb-blood orange parfaits to ring in springtime.

  • Chicken piccata: always a classic.
