that looks soooo good. I really don't think my husband has ever had sauerkraut, but I really dug it as a kid. I can't say I'll make it the way you have any time soon, but I appreciate the reminder. :)

I didn't eat breakfast and it'll be another two hours before I can get lunch. If my classmates start complaining about the noises my stomach is making, it's all your fault.
Or maybe it's just mine. You'd think I would have learned not to read food blogs on an empty stomach.

well I have a hard time believing this is the very LAST! Surely you will make again. After all...evryone survived!

I have officially talked one of my friends into being excited about making sauerkraut with me. My roommate and cat will probably hate me this time next month. Muahahaha!
Seriously though, your adventures in kraut have made me brave enough to try making my own. I hope I don't poison myself. Or if I do, that it tastes good anyway.

I for one am looking forward to the next batch! Some of the best food we had all winter was made possible by stinky, juicy, briny cabbage left out too long.
Yum!

Husband: Next up, pickles.
Johnny Zone: Hiya. Welcome. Nice to meet your blog.
Deanna: Godspeed! I can't wait to hear how it turns out. If you can get past that first week with the unholy stench, you're golden.
Tempered Woman: I will definitely make it again. But probably not in the heat of summer.
Adele: No breakfast? How do you do it? There would be no survivors if I skipped breakfast.
Melissa: That's what food blogs are good for. Living variously and vicariously.

Ooh, are those caraway seeds?

Heather: Why, yes! You know your seeds.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Not the last of the sauerkraut! You realize now that I'm going to have to make my own. dammit. I have made pickles, but only the chunk kind. (and I'm a huge dork and will be entering them in the county fair next year.)
