Lunch:
Grilled cheese sandwich with homemade whole wheat bread, blue cheese (Great Hill Blue via Russo's, MA), and tomatoes
Carrot sticks (Drumlin Farm, MA)
Kids had PB sandwich (so, sue me), carrot sticks, nectarines, and cheddar cheese (Cabot, VT)
Dinner:
Leftover beef and green pepper kebabs with pearled barley (Baer’s Best, MA)
Corn on the cob (Drumlin Farm, MA)
Sautéed zucchini and summer squash with basil (Drumlin Farm, MA)
Blueberries (Brigham Farm, MA)
Notes: I love leftovers, and even more so this month. It means I don’t have to cook or, more importantly, think. Also, I found 6 ears of corn in the crisper left over from last week’s farmshare. I didn’t have high hopes for them, but they were still sweet when cooked. However, what was noticeably absent were the corn worms. Not a single one was encountered while shucking. Not even dead ones. So my question is, where did they go?
