Last month, some idiot wrote that she had never, EVER seen a honeybee in the Boston area in her life. So, of course, two showed up in my backyard over the weekend just to spite me. To prove, once and for all, that I am the worst fact-checker ever. Here’s the photographic evidence.
At least, I assume that's a honeybee on those grape hyacinths. I know it's not a bumblebee or yellow jacket (if it were a yellow jacket, it would have stung me in the face as I tried to snap its photo), and that just about exhausts my bee knowledge. So, I’m happy to report that I know of at least two honeybees that are available for pollination services in the Greater Boston area.
But, they’re not going to come cheap.

A bee sighting!
This is like some science fiction post-apocalypse story where life begins to return...
I hope.
I bee worried.

because the jar of honey we have now might only last until 2017!

Gorgeous hyacinths! Glad you got to meet the bee. =)

Lisa: Those hyacinths pop up every year, no thanks to me. I love self-sufficient plants/weeds.
God: I can help you out with that.
CC: Two should be enough, right?
